Air Canada will restore its Toronto-Heathrow Day-Tripper service from 1 May 2027, giving travellers another daily option between Toronto Pearson International Airport and London Heathrow.
The restored service will become Air Canada's fifth daily flight between Toronto and Heathrow and is scheduled to operate year-round.
Air Canada announced the change on 3 September 2026 as part of its wider Toronto network expansion for Summer 2027.
The service will operate under flight number AC862 from Toronto to London and AC863 from London to Toronto.
| Flight | Route | Departure | Arrival | Frequency |
| AC862 | Toronto Pearson (YYZ) → London Heathrow (LHR) | 08:30 | 21:00 | Daily |
| AC863 | London Heathrow (LHR) → Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | 11:05 | 14:45 | Daily |
The service is planned to operate throughout the year, rather than only during the summer season. As with all airline schedules, timings are subject to change.
The Day-Tripper is designed around a daytime transatlantic journey. The Toronto flight leaves at 08:30 and is scheduled to arrive at London Heathrow at 21:00 the same day. The return service leaves Heathrow at 11:05 and arrives in Toronto at 14:45.
For UK travellers, the additional Heathrow frequency could provide more flexibility when planning holidays, family visits, or business trips to Canada. The flight will be operated using an Airbus A321XLR, featuring Air Canada Signature and Economy cabins.
The restored Heathrow service forms part of Air Canada's wider international expansion at Toronto Pearson. For Summer 2027, the airline also plans new Toronto routes to Oslo, Shannon and Nice, while Toronto-Shanghai services will increase to daily. Its Toronto-Guatemala City route is also planned to operate year-round.
Air Canada says the new services will strengthen Toronto Pearson's role as its largest global hub, connecting passengers with destinations across Canada and around the world.
The new services are available through Air Canada's official website and travel agents. Schedules remain subject to change.
